Scott READ

Founder and president

Scott Read brings over three decades of entrepreneurial success and sports management expertise to his role as founder and President of Triple Threat Facility Solutions. With a comprehensive background in the sports industry, Scott has excelled in operations and real estate investment. From 1996 to 2007, he served as Club Manager, Director of Tennis, and founder of a Boarding Academy, developing strong skills in facility management and program implementation. In 2007, Scott expanded his entrepreneurial portfolio by becoming the largest franchise owner of i9 Sports nationwide, overseeing 10 franchises in key locations such as The Woodlands, Katy, and Dallas.

Alongside his sports franchise ventures, Scott has played a pivotal role in real estate since 2007, focusing on residential, commercial, and land properties. In recent years, he has built and developed three sports facilities of his own including Woodlands Indoor (WIN), Katy Indoor (KIN), and DG29 Pro Baseball Facility, demonstrating his dedication to advancing sports facility standards. Scott's leadership and commitment to enhancing athletic experiences highlight his ongoing mission to foster community engagement through Triple Threat Facility Solutions.

Nathan Barnes, mba

Managing Partner

Nathan Barnes brings a wealth of experience in sports management, real estate development, and business strategy to his role at Triple Threat Facility Solutions. Currently serving as General Manager of Growth & Development at i9 Sports under Scott Read's franchises, Nathan plays a pivotal role in expanding operations and enhancing community engagement. Previously, he served as Regional Director for The Woodlands TX, overseeing strategic initiatives and operational excellence. Nathan's contributions extend beyond sports management; he has collaborated closely with Scott Read Real Estate on prominent projects like Woodlands Indoor (WIN), Katy Indoor (KIN), and DG29 Pro Baseball Facility, where his expertise in design and financial management has been instrumental.

With a solid foundation in business and finance, including roles at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc., and academic credentials from Tennessee Technological University, Nathan combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership to drive innovation and success in sports facility development and management.

Colby byrd

Assistant Manager

Colby Byrd, Assistant General Manager of Scott Read’s Houston i9 Sports franchise, ​is dedicated to helping kids succeed through youth sports. With a background in ​Business Administration from Howard Payne University and experience as a college ​basketball player, Colby understands the importance of teamwork, discipline, and ​leadership. He’s passionate about creating programs that build athletic skills while ​teaching life lessons, ensuring every child has the chance to grow and thrive.

RYAN SIMME ​CONSULTANT Partner

Ryan has extensive experience in pickleball and has been in ​the tennis industry for over 25 years following a playing ​career that included 4 years at the University of Notre ​Dame. Most recently, Ryan has served as the Director of ​Racket Sports at the University of Texas Golf Club, where ​he has managed the 10-court tennis facility, which includes ​6 indoor courts, 4 outdoor courts, and 2 pickleball courts, ​for the past 5 years. Prior to the UT Club, Ryan worked as ​the Head Professional at several other prestigious tennis ​clubs in town, where he was responsible for programming, ​managing staff, and overseeing resurfacing and renovation ​projects. His 25 years of experience in Austin and extensive ​knowledge of the overall sports scene will add tremendous ​value to our team.
